I'M A ROCKSTAR TAG

Most people fantasize about being a rockstar at least once in their lives. You know... air guitar and hair brush microphones, so I thought it would be fun, and a little different, to do a tag about it. I think you can get to know a lot about a person through their musical tastes and ideas of fame. Let's play!

THE QUESTIONS

1. What is the name of your band, or if you are a solo artist, your stage name (example: Lady Ga Ga, Snoop Dog, Puddles the Clown, etc...)?

2. What genre or style of music are you known for?

3. What instrument do you play or are you the lead singer?

4. If you could be the opening act for any band currently touring who would it be?

5. Who would you name as your musical inspiration? This person can be currently breathing, or not.

6. What special item do you ask for in your dressing room on a tour contract rider?

7. What item from home do you pack in your suitcase to take on tour?

8. What does your stage attire look like?

9. What backstage nickname have the roadies given you based on your personality?

10. Every successful rockstar has a special charity. What's yours?

11. What is the title of your memoir going to be?

MY ANSWERS

1. What is the name of your band, or if you are a solo artist, your stage name (example: Lady Ga Ga, Snoop Dog, Puddles the Clown, etc...)?
★★★★★
I have always wanted a band called Durty Legg. I have had that in mind for so long I have no idea where the notion came from. It sounds more like an Irish drinking songs band though, ha ha. So, seeing that Finger Lickin' and the Moist Towelettes is already taken, I would say Vox Verity.

2. What genre or style of music are you known for?
★★★★★
Hmm... Post-Punk Funk Alternative Metal.

3. What instrument do you play or are you the lead singer?
★★★★★
Rhythm guitar with backing vocals and maybe some keyboard. Nothing major because I have slight stage fright issues. This is my dream tour guitar...
A Gretsch Duo Jet. They cost around three grand. Heh heh.

4. If you could be the opening act for any band currently touring who would it be?
★★★★★
This one is easy... Faith No More.

This is why I love Mike Patton
WOLFMOTHER, YOU SUCK

5. Who would you name as your musical inspiration? This person can be currently breathing, or not.
★★★★★
Johnny Winter. He was a real guitar inspiration for me, growing up. I played a lot of Blues when I was first starting out and it was a solid foundation for everything I have done since.

6. What special item do you ask for in your dressing room on a tour contract rider?
★★★★★
Lobster mac and cheese!

7. What item from home do you pack in your suitcase to take on tour?
★★★★★
It would need to be something that smelled like home I could sleep with so...
I am cheating with two things: my blankie and my cat head pillow. I bet you thought I was going to bring a book.

8. What does your stage attire look like?
★★★★★
All black. I do have to have monotone black Converse hightops! I call them mickey-bobos because my favorite cousin called them bobos and one of my good friends called them mickeys, so to keep them from arguing they became mickey-bobos.
9. What backstage nickname have the roadies given you based on your personality?
★★★★★
Martini Mama? Ha ha.

10. Every successful rockstar has a special charity. What's yours?
★★★★★
My first instinct is to say an animal rescue, but I really like the idea of community gardens. Not just here in the US, but everywhere there is a fresh vegetable shortage. It would be like OxFam only instead of providing farm animals the community would be given: tools, seed, fertilizer, irrigation systems, and agriculture classes. We have this thing we say in my friend's tribute group on Facebook when we spread kindness. We call the acts of love and kindness "Billy Seeds", so I think I would name the charity Billy Seeds. He was a musician, so it would be fitting.

11. What is the title of your memoir going to be?
★★★★★
If We Had Some Bread We Could Make Beet Sandwiches
